Thanks Steven...I think another week the car will be completely painted!  Slowly putting on the body panels just two fenders to go!

Final pictures before paint.  As long as the weather cooperates she should be GREEN next weekend.  The whole car gets one coat of primer sealer then top coated. I am pretty happy with everything so far. Although she's a school bus, she is a pretty neat car. You don't see many of them around here.

It looks good.  You're right, there are not many Fairlanes around.  I wonder what they were originally marketed as?

They were pretty much marketed as a "family car" with a little sporty style, aka GT-A, kinda like the 66-67 Chevelle, they weren't really seen as "Muscle Cars" but if you knew how to use an order sheet. You could easily create one. Back then we called them sleepers! Grocery getter looks, Blow your doors off performance! Yeah it was cool !

Yes, the car is looking great.  The panel alignment and gaps look great.

I have always liked the 66/67 Fairlane  and your example is not exception.

Well done.

Thanks everyone...I can't wait to get her painted.  I thought I was missing the front bumper filler panel and when I was searching for it I found the grille and decided to through it on the car.  Now I remember why I liked this car for first time I saw one.  It was the stacked headlights and the big grille.
