Is anyone aware of a overview of what the proper emisions equipment is for a 1971 mach 1 351 clevland 4v?

I checked my service manual for 72 Fords and I see no mention of emissions. Did they even have any emissions in 72 yet? I thought that started in 74?
Im sure someone here will have the answer if there is one :)

You should have the evaporator canister, pcv valve and the crankcase filter for the hose from valve cover to inside the air cleaner. 73's had a EGR plate under the carb. For proper emissions your choke should be adjusted seasonally and the fuel mixture should be set to the maximum vacuum.

Should be no difference between 71 and 72 except for a California car.

Well luckily for me I'm emissions exempt on my 80 Trans Am and the 72 Mach1.
