My heart goes out to the family, I bet they are devastated.
When I was a kid I remember watching the Olympics and seeing the Luge competitions on TV. I thought then, I sure wouldn't do this, seemed really dangerous, and so it happens.
Nodar Kumaritashvili, a Georgian luge slider died after crashing and hitting a metal pole at over 90 mph during a training run for the 2010 Winter Olympics competition.
He was airlifted to a Whistler hospital, where he was declared dead. He was 21.
