Cowl, Fender Apron, Radiator Support - What order to replace?
#11
I was able to finish up the cowl project over the weekend, here are some additional pics of the progress:

Lower cowl section prepped for upper installation. After I grinded down my plug welds I primed the plug welding areas with weld-thru primer, then painted the rest of the lower section with Satin Black paint.

Upper cowl section prepped and ready for welding. Primed and painted like the upper section.

Upper cowl section plug welded into place.

I just need to get the cowl-to-apron extensions reinstalled and then onto the fender apron and radiator support....

I was able to get a good start on the fender apron and radiator support this weekend. Here are some pics of the progress:

Front passenger fender apron, lots of damage under the battery tray.

Radiator Support, had quite a bit of deformity and damage from an old collision.

Apron and radiator support after I removed them, again lots of spot welds....

New apron and radiator support mocked up in place. Next step is a bunch of welding.

Lots of measuring, be sure to criss cross a lot when measuring till you have it right from every direction you can, then weld it. Cause it's beeeech to go back and undo something cause you goofed, and mis read or measured it. Looks darn good so far, several hours from now you'll be done! LOL!  Confused

Was able to get the fender apron and radiator support all welded in tonight. After lots of mock up and some minor modifications I got all my measurement within less than 1/16” of original, so I was pretty happy with that!
