Snow, Snow, Snow!!!
#1
Here in Northern Virginia and the Washington D.C. area we are bracing for a record winter storm. The forcast is for 16 to 30 inches of snow beginning Friday morning and going through Saturday night. This is a very large snow storm for this area, probably going to be be one of the top 5 storms since the late 1800's.

I just got back from the grocery store and the shelves were almost bare. No eggs, no milk, I got the last loaf of wheat bread, no heads of lettuce, no loose onions, plus many other empty shelves. They were almost out of bottled water too. The Federal Government in the D.C. area has already granted liberal leave for Friday even though it has not started snowing yet. I have a 50 mile one way commute so I'm taking the day off on Friday. The temps are going to be upper 20's so the snow should be wet and heavy, so they are predicting widespread power outages. This is our second big snow of the season as we got about 18 inches the week before Christmas. We already had about five inches this week on Tuesday, so we are getting a lot of snow this season.

So if I don't post for a few days it probably means I lost internet connection, although I might be able to check in on my iPhone.

I'm sure 2 feet of snow does not sound like much for some of you, but the drivers in the DC area don't know how to drive in it!

Cheers!Cold

WOW!!!!!
Sounds like the next couple days are going to be interesting. Hopefully everything is good. Here in Kingston we haven't got too much snow but I am guessing we might get something from your storm if the wind blows the right direction. Hopefully you aren't lucky like me to have to SHOVEL LOL

In the winter of 2008/2009 we only got a total of 7 inches of snow all winter, so this winter is a big change. My 19 year old son, the Bullitt driver, "gets" to do most of the snow shoveling Laughing

Here in central Indiana we are expecting about 8" of snow this weekend. My daughter is flying in from Jacksonville, FL tonight so she can go to a couple of Butler basketball games. I think I would have stayed in Jacksonville.
Here is what I use to plow snow, a 1968 Wheel Horse with 8hp Kohler engine. It does a great job.

That is cool, can I borrow it.

I like your Mustang Covert; about a 95? I had a 98 GT Convert that I miss. Loved that body style on the verts.

I gave up shoveling at 10:30. A 250 foot driveway is a lost cause in this storm.

My son and I have gone out 4 times now re-shoveling the same places. Trying to stay ahead a little bit!
