Replacing brake lines

Has anyone replaced all the hard lines in their Mach 1? I'm replacing all mine and was able to worm the front to rear line ok but the front is kicking my arse. Its the one that goes from the brake distribution box (driver's side)over to the passenger front caliper. I'd rather not have to remove a ton of stuff to worm it in but its not looking very promising. Any suggestions?

Well that was fun. I ended up having to cut the front line that goes from the master cylinder to the right front brake. Put a flare and a union and it went together perfectly. Now just trying to bleed all the air out. Almost ready for a test drive

Hi Jack,

I'm in the UK so getting brake lines (and help / info) isn't always easy, you said you managed to "worm" the front to rear line in?
Mine is solid on the hose fitting on the back and am thinking of just adding a "straight coupler" where the tunnel ends and making a new short pipe to the hose fitting bracket, but I would prefer to have a one piece line if possible.
Can you tell me how you managed to fit the pipe ( did you have a lift to get the car in the air or was it on axle stands which is how I would have to do it) so I can see if it is worth me trying or not.

Yea I had it on jackstands as high as I could get it. The front to back one really wasn't too bad. I left the drive shaft in place too. I started right before the transmission and fed it towards the rear. Hooking it up to the master cylinder was a bit tricky though. Just be patient with that end. It will bend a little for you to get around the brake booster but be careful not to kink it at all. Only get one shot at it. As far as making a splice in the line,  try to avoid that as much as possible. Just one more spot to leak from. And be sure to use a union if you have to cut the line anywhere.

Not sure if these guys send to you but you should check out Kentuckymustang.com. I get nearly all my parts from them and they deal only in OEM parts and are awesome to deal with. And they know their $hit. Also helps that they're only 20 minutes from my house too..
