Pulling the motor

Hello, I have 2004 Azure Blue Mach 1, and i'll have the motor out of the car doing pan gasket, rear main seal, clutch, flywheel, and throwout bearing. Long story short, I was wondering if there were any other things that I should take a look at or replace while the motor is out. Thanks!

Motor, and Trans Mounts, come to mind. Also look for any coolant hoses, that are swelled etc. Power steering hoses. Rack and pinion seals, bushings that mount the rack, basically anything that's under the engine. U joints. There are several other things, and I'm sure some of the Guy's here will come up with a few more. Good Luck. Are you Rebuilding or Upgrading?

JTS I had initially only intended on redoing the suspension but then she started leaking oil so I ordered new seals and gaskets. I guess at this point I might as well rebuild any gasket/seal on the motor and take a look at everything under the motor while its out like you mentioned. After I get all this sorted I'll have replaced just about every suspension component and resealed and gasketed the motor. The car has 56k miles on it, really i'm getting It ready for boost towards the end of next year.

Probably a good opportunity to replace the timing chain and water pump while they are easy to access.

I'll definitely take a look, if I do that I might as well do the timing cover gaskets as well.

Not a bad idea at all, if you intend to put boost to it. Everything needs to be a 100%, otherwise you're just asking for trouble.

Okay, so as an update, I've purchased a Ford cobra/svt high volume oil pump/pickup, edelbrock high flow water pump, and modular motorsports fully adjustable timing chain & sprocket kit with billet tensioners as well as any seals/gaskets to accompany the install. I'll post up with any findings I make when the motor comes out.
