FINALLY RESTORED MACH 1
#1
Hey all!  I've been posting quite a bit bombarding yall with questions, but I am pleased to announce that I am finally done my 1971 Mach 1 project.  It did not need any engine or transmission work, but we have done minor body work, fixed electrical issues (brake lights, reverse, interior) as well as spend lots of time and money trying to paint the car to the best of our abilities.  It also has new rims and rubber all around (Which are no longer rubbing at the back).  Thank you to every user here who helped answer my many questions!

Special thanks to my dad who helped me extensively with this car.  He was accidentally struck in the leg by my grandpas mustang two days ago and is in the hospital.  His leg is severely damaged but hopefully he will be able to walk again.  He always put others first, including me!  He taught me how to drive this car since it is manual.  He helped me and my brothers with all of our cars.  (1978 Ford F150, 1982 thunderbird).  Best father ever.

In the beginning...

And then PURPLE!  (Don't ask, it spoke to me)

Nice work. It looks great. I like the personalization of painting it the color you wanted.
Hope everything heals and your dad is back up and going soon.

Purples Cool! and you sure as heck won't lose it in the parking lot! Sorry to hear your Dad got hurt. Take it from someone who's had both legs broke 4" below the hips, 2 different motorcycle accidents. Never Give Up!!! and Never say Never!!! I was 18 with the first one, and they told me they weren't sure I'd walk. Yeah Right get the Heii out the Way. Now I'm 61. Still riding, 95 Honda PC 800, and doing everything! So tell Dad as long as you don't give up! You can't lose. Wishing him Well, and a Speedy Recovery! From someone who's been there.

Nice job with the car. It's looks almost like a majestic blue.  The black wheels make the car look tuff.

Thank you!  Yes I was sitting on the fence with a few colours and I couldn't decide, so I went with the very first colour that I pictured the car being when I bought it, which was purple!

Thanks JTS!  Yeah it was pretty bad.  Whole bone below the knee was shattered.  Just gone.  Gonna do surgery and put rods and pins in.  They say he'll walk again with limitations. But we're trusting that God will heal him and that he will recover quickly.  Thanks for your encouragement and concern!  We all appreciate it.

Thanks Mike!  Yeah it depends on the lighting.  Heck, in the dark it looks like black!  Yeah I thought the black and purple theme would look good, especially the tires.  Thanks for looking!

Sweet!  I've never been a fan of black rims, but those don't look too bad - especially, with the color scheme you have going.  Good job - Congrats!

Sounds like your Dad has a pretty bad break, as it's below the knee. Both mine were the Femur, which are obviously above the knee. I've got pins in both of them. One in the bone, and the other one is on the outside with 10 big screws holding it all together. I was 18 and 23 respectively now at 61 I still have virtually no issues, other then a little aching when it gets Super Cold,  15 or 20 below zero. Then a couple Ibuprofen, and I'm fine So Trust in God, and he'll bring him through it just like he did me.
Lord God I say a prayer for Jonner's Dad, Please Lord God, heal him, and make him as good as he was before. In your Precious Son "Jesus'  Name" Amen.
