Since this sounds like a temporary motor until the original Windsor and FMX are rebuilt you probably want to keep cost down.  With that in mind I would look at something from Hedman or Hooker.  Of those Hooker headers have a better history of fitment.  But they tend to be made from thinner tubing and flanges than Hedman.  For Hedman, I think the Elite series are their top of line.  If you have a lot of money to spend on headers, Ford Powertrain Applications is about the best you will find.

When you are looking you might need to look at applications for a 1970 Mustang since that is the first year Ford put Clevelands in Mustangs.

Here is a link to some of the better headers that Summit Racing sells.  You can look through them.  I forgot about Doug Thorley and Doug's headers.  Those brands have been around a long time and are supposed to be high end quality.  I think I'd consider Doug Thorley or Doug's before Hedman or Hooker.  Summit Racing has excellent return policies just be carful not to damage them during installation.

If you have stock power steering, the power steering ram will need the aftermarket bracket that attaches it to the frame to drop it down a few inches for header clearance.  Most of those are cheap quality.  The bracket sold by JBA headers is a little better.  The cheaper brackets and even the one sold by JBA headers will eventually tear the nuts out of the frame.  The best bracket I have seen is sold by West Coast Classic Cougars but it is expensive.

was hoping a member have had knowledge of what what and what brand didn't i am in trouble because of guessing i bout aluminum heads that are high port cleveland heads and trying to put  them on has raised the height of the exhaust port is going to be a issue so i put a set of 4v closed chamber heads back on the headers i ave already purchased is so close to the steering box is it possible to lower the steering box i am at the point i have to have what works i have read reviews from summit on the different headers some say they hit this some say they hit that i know there  may be a lttle modification i dont think i have power steering but manual any help or part number would be helpful thanks family

I think if you want headers you will simply have to pick something and try it.  Be very careful mocking them up in case they need to be returned.  Headers hitting the stock steering box on Mustangs is extremely rare as that steering box is fairly small.  If your car still has the stock power steering, then headers hitting the power steering ram is common and that drop bracket I mentioned in my earlier post is needed.

Does your car still have the stock steering box or did somebody install an aftermarket Borgeson power steering box in it?

Your car should have come with power steering from the factory.  It's easy to determine if your car still has the stock power steering by looking at the steering linkage.  If you see a hydraulic ram and a control valve attached to the steering linkage, then it still has the stock power steering.

Do you have the correct motor mounts and motor mount brackets?  I don't know if there are any differences between 351W and 351C motor mounts and brackets.

the only other option i could think of is a custom set, but that will be pricey
