I forgot to mention, I  ordered an original glove box door last night on Ebay.

If it were mine I would get used original or NOS parts to fix the glove box.  I repeat it again even though it often falls on deaf ears, Perogie Enterprises is the place to go for this type stuff if you want used original or NOS.  They are a big source of parts for 69 and 70 Mach 1's.

Build sheet update, it's not for my car, I'm not sure if the wrong one was put in by mistake,  or if the driver's seat was replaced at some point, but it definitely has a different VIN. I'll see if the owner can shed some light on this.

It looks like the glove box door was removed,  and then some black matching carpet was installed in its place. On a hunch I took off the seatbacks and wouldn't you know it, I found the build sheet, it was crumpled,  so some parts are difficult to make out,  but otherwise in pretty good shape.

Good find… sorry to hear it's not the correct one. I believe with the older Mustangs they use to stick them up under the dash.  I heard that is where people used to find them.

In regards to making your pictures smaller just resize them to the smaller size 640 in your photo gallery.  If you are having problems let me know.

I completely agree, the one I ordered is a used original 1970 Mach 1 glove box., I'll definitely check out Perogie Enterprises as well, thanks for the tip.

The owners of Perogie Enterprises know these cars pretty well and are more interested in OEM than anything else.  They've helped me several times when I was missing parts and not knowing everything that's missing.  They sell stuff in as removed condition or cleaned restored and ready for installation.  If you're like me and cannot bead blast to remove rust, etc., I will ask for stuff that's cleaned and ready for installation.
