Shaker Rebuild
#11
Thanks much for the advice.  Perogie Enterprises did an outstanding job rebuilding my shaker.  I learned that although my 69 came from the factory with a shaker, the shaker I have is for a Cleveland...  That said, I face a new dilemma:
1. Should I use the Cleveland snorkel I have
2. Purchase a Windsor snorkel
or
3. Cap it and go without.

Research I've conducted has shown that the snorkel for the Windsor is different than the Cleveland.  I've also seen many shakers that have the air cleaner snorkel mount capped off.

Recommendations?

It all depends on how much of a stickler you are for original.  If you cap the snorkel inlet make certain the shaker is open to outside air all the time.  If it were mine, I think I would either simply not attach the snorkel or cap it and leave the shaker open to outside air.

I've always had good luck with Perogie's.  They seem to know these cars inside and out and have a lot of used original parts.

Sent that out a bit early.  The snorkel I received from Perodie's is a 351W.  Still learning...
