Hello from Ristiina, Finland
#1
Greeting from very snowy and very, very, very cold Finland Cold :)
Just found this awesome site last night, and now I'm officially a member of Mighty Mach 1 Brotherhood Awesome

I'm 45 yrs old drummer and foster home father, and one very proud owner of '71 351 C Mach 1. Mach 1 has been my dream car since I was 14, and february '05 my dream became true. Now, after three years of restomodation, she is almost redone and o'boy I love her. When she came to me, she was white with black accents and few rust spots, interior was somewhat tolerable and engine pulled quite strong but I didn't know what it had inside. So, after two summers of cruisin' I decided to take all the rust off and do some minor interior work as well. As you all know, these kind of things tend to get out of hand => three years of hard work, hundreds of hours and all the money you can get Blush

But that's enough for intro, I'll post some pics to project forum later. Nice to be here Jam

Welcome to the club from Virginia! takes for adding your location to the map; it looks like your our first member from Finland.

Nice burnout on the video. Your brave to do that at the entrance to the garage; I'd be worried about spinning into the side of the garage Bow

I like the color of your Mach. Do you know any of the history such as when if first came to Finland, previous owners, etc. It's always neat to learn where your Mach has been.

Keep the pictures/video coming!

Hi Stangdrummer,

Good to see the rest of Europe also joining this club. You got a nice mach1 there. And it shows skills that you did not drive through the garage! I surely would not try it anyday!

Thank you guys. Indeed, I think I'm the first here from Finland, but I believe that in the future things change. We have a quite a bunch of enthusiasts here and a club, Ford Mustang Owners' Club of Finland ry (FMOC), which is very active in organizing various events for their members. The main event is the summer's Fun Run. Besides that, there's Slalom cup, Ford Nationals weekend which is arranged in cooperation with another car club, etc. FMOC currently has over one thousand members, which is a pretty good for a country which has a population of slightly more than 5 million.

I do not know the history of car, any more than that it has come to Finland from Sweden in 1999. American owners, unfortunately, I do not have any information. The original colors are Grabber Blue, argent accents and white interior.

And about that clip, I don't think I'm particularly brave or skillful but maybe stupid ;) But hey, I love the fact that I can burn rubber at any time I want, because now my Cleve really makes serious power :)
