Considering the CHRISTmas text of Matthew 2:1-12:
1. Wise men still SEEK DIRECTION (from God) "Where is he .." vs.2
2. Wise men still SEARCH DILIGENTLY (for God) "Go and search diligently.." vs. 8
3. Wise men still SERVE (God - with) DEDICATION "we are come" vs. 2 (possibly 2 years of travel from the east)
4. Wise men still SAVE (with) DISCIPLINE "from the east to Jerusalem" vs.1 (travel cost!) Proverbs 6:11
5. Wise men still SPEND DISCERNIBLY (on what is important) "they had opened their treasures.." vs. 11
6. Wise men still SUBMIT DUTIFULLY (to God) "And being warned of God .." vs. 12
7. Wise men still SHARE DETERMINEDLY (the Truth) "we have seen .. and are come to worship him." vs. 2
