1969 Mach 1 GT?

If I ever run into this guy again I will be sure to look at the VIN and the door tag. Take some pics also. Dave R.

I would be interested in his "proof" and where did he get the one of one hundred number?

Could it be that his bragging was found out?

He bought the car in West Virginia and may be repeating a bunch of hooey that the PO told him. He went to W. VA. to visit his son and went to look at a boat to buy. He had never owned a boat. The guy with the boat for sale also had the Mustang. When this guy saw the Mustang he dropped the boat idea and offered to buy the Mustang. After some negotiating and the PO thinking it over overnight a package deal was made and this guy bought the Mustang and the boat, brought them back to Cincinnati and took the boat out for a cruise. The guy scared the sh** outta himself and sold the boat after one trip. The longer this thread runs the more I wish that this guy could have hung around the car show a little longer for me to more closely examine his car. I think this guy is just poorly informed and believes whatever the PO told him is the truth. Dave R.

Did you meet up with him in the Cincinnati area?

What color was the Mach 1 GT?

Yes Steve. He lives somewhere in the Cincinnati area. This cruise in was at the Frisch's restaurant on Hamilton Ave. near I-275 so he may very well be from one of the northern suburbs of Cincinnati. The car was pale yellow, Meadowlark yellow maybe? Dave R.

Nothing wrong with Meadowlark Yellow. That's the color of mine.

The car was sharp. I like the color myself. Black interior of course. Dave R.

Isn't F code a 260 ci motor? Even weirder. Dave R.

I find conflicting info on what exactly is a F code but the base engine in '69 Mach 1 was the 2bbl. 351. Right? There was nothing smaller available in a Mach 1. Unless some production line foul-up happened?

Hi Dave, thanks for your response, im pretty certain an F code on a 69 Mustang is a 302 but obviously not available in a Mach 1 as you said 351 2bbl was the smallest.
I didnt want to say anything to the person at the time of reading it because it just seemed so odd to me on a 63c car (according to the door tag) and i also didnt want to make him feel that his car may actually not be a Mach 1 but a standard sportsroof with a deluxe interior, does anyone know if 63c actually means Mach 1 or can it mean deluxe interior also.
