Are you guys OK?

I've seen snows and floods, now you have a heatwave!
We only get mild changes in comparison.

Well In Arkansas it's hovering right near 100 degrees and supposed to stay there for several days. So we do things early in the morning, then head for the house and the air conditioning till later in the day, and finish up what we didn't get done in the morning. Heaven forbid the A/C goes down as the repair guys are booked solid and it will usually take 3 or 4 days to a week before they can get to you. I grew up without A/C, but now that I have it I don't want to live without it. I guess I sound like a sissy. I can take the heat fairly well till it's over 95 degrees, then I'm cooked. JTS 71 Mach1

Well I am a bit farther south and no we do not have air conditioning.

Where we live it has been hovering right at 115 (46) and we just returned from a bit farther south where it was right at 125 (52) and windy - think hair dryer on high heat.

We were in the heat all day but thankfully enjoyed an air conditioned hotel at night. Otherwise I would be hospitalized (or in jail for having killed someone).

Back home now and it rained a bit while we were gone and is suppose to rain some more. That spells HEAT RELIEF.

JTS71 - I'm with you. I can stand 40*C at 20% humidity all day and work in the shade. Air-con is just so good for sleeping though.
Steve H: Wow. Just Wow.
But now W. V. has floods! I hope all the members there are OK!
