Upgrading Mach1Club
#11
The message board script has been upgraded, pretty extensive actually. Now we just need to be sure everything's working correctly. Im going to make some changes to certain things.

What I'm looking for now is things that do not work if you come across things.
Some things might not be fixable meaning the new script is just different than the one we were using before. So visually things might be different.

When reporting issues I also need to know what internet browser you are using, Firefox, Chrome, Safari, IE or Edge.
Sometimes issues are created strictly by your browser.
I use a few because some do different things on different sites.

Ive already noticed its faster.

I like the aesthetic and functionality changes to the site and it does seem a bit faster. If I notice anything not working correctly I will let you know.

Thank you for your time and your knowledge upgrading the site. I really enjoy spending time here.

I am having a couple of issues today and yesterday with the user interface in this forum. Sometimes the white background areas of the pages are black. The white areas of the posts are normal. But all other white background areas are black. Obviously when this occurs I cannot see the text that is black on the black background. Also, when that occurs all of the text on the screen, everywhere, not just the posts, is center justified instead of left justified.

I am using the current version of Internet Explorer and Windows 7 Professional 64 bitt.

Regards,
Mike

I'm not doubting you but I need a little more feedback to see what browsers people are using. If I can't duplicate it then it's hard to fix. I to am using 64 bit Windows but chrome and Firefox as a browser. I see no black pages. I would make sure you have the latest version of Adobe flash. Although they are getting ready to move away from flash player.

Ditto on the above.

I figure Joe is keeping us on our toes to see if we indeed will report any issues.

I can't seem to insert the wink smilie here either.

How do I add my bold and my color?

Definitely working a few bugs out, some of the issue is waiting for a response from the script writer as to what we have done incorrectly or an issue they are not even aware of. Saturday nites and Sundays are off for a lot of poeople.

I see the smilies are not working correctly Thanks Steven!

FYI: This is what my screen looks like before I log in. After I log in everything is normal. I'm sure it will get fixed. Just thought this would clear up any confusion.

Mike

That's what you are suppose to see if you are not registered or logged in. That wont change, you should clear your cookies, and when it asks you to save password for this site say yes then you will never see that.
If you read what it says its pretty clear :)

I posted a reply with a jpg image showing that the display looks normal after I log in. Just trying to provide a reference of the before log in display and after log in differences in the display. I'm certain the before log in display issues can be fixed. I noticed my post with the after log in display image has been deleted. Did you see it or should I post it again?

Regards,
Mike
