I am considering installing tri-bar halogen headlights in my 72 Mach1.
Years ago I upgraded to Halogens in my daily driver 69 Cougar. With the Halogens I experienced headlight "blink" they would cut out and a few seconds later back on & then out again. I up graded to a higher amperage alternator. Ultimately someone explained that the Halogens drawn more power ultimately over heating and triggering the relay to kick off. After cooling for a few seconds or maybe a minute the relay would cool off and the lights would work again. So I was wondering if this is an issue with 72 machs?
As always I appreciate any and all input,

If you saw my post about my car ending up in a cornfield, The insurance adjuster gave me a pretty good estimate. I should be able to get the damage fixed with a bit extra.
