New to the Mach 1 Club.
My name is Steve and currently in the So. Cal. area.
I have a 1970 Mach 1
351C 4-Speed car.
When I purchased the car it had a 302 with a t-10 transmission
It's currently on a rotisserie and will be soda blasted this week.
I'm lucky that I have a buddy that has a body restro shop.
Car doesn't have a lot of options so debating on doing a restro-mod.
Thinking of going with TCI 3 link coil over suspension, Wilwood brakes
427 stroked motor and Richmond 5 speed.
Any input would be appreciated
Thanks

Hi, and welcome! I work on the same car. Yours does seem to have changed a bit since it left the factory!! Good luck with your restoro. Good to have mates who will help so much. Smiliegenerator_test6

Welcome to the site! 351C and 4 speed sound like enough options for me (LOL). The upgrades you list above all sound good but I would not part with the matching # stuff. What are you thinking for the rear-end? Were looking forward to following your restoration/resto...keep us updated.

That's a nice combination. I like the 70 Mach 1 body style. Even just the 70 Sportsroof (fastback) because it can easily be cloned into a Boss 302, unlike the 69 Sporstroof. I can't believe the previous owner put a 302 in a Mach 1?? Base motor in a Mach 1 was a 351. Stranger things have happened. Have fun with the project.

Best Regards,
Mike

Picked it up pretty cheap, but decided quick after looking at floors to tear it down...
Metal work is always fun...

Car looks clean...and a good candidate for a 1 piece floor. Gives it a nice clean look underneath and half the welding. What are your plans?

I know a lot of people use rotisserie's these days. But it just looks like the car is going to bend slightly.

Gold is good! You will be very pleased with the end result. You may consider pre-drilling the weld holes on the floor before installing it. Here is a link showing some pictures of my floor installation:

Please share some pictures of the installation.
