Hey guys. I noticed yesterday when driving my new Mach that the clutch pedal sometimes gets stuck about half way up when releasing. I can stick my food around the back and pull it up and it will stay there and it seems to be a "catch" of some kind. Any suggestions on what to look for?

Does the clutch pedal return to normal height position when it is not getting stuck? It could be that it just needs an adjustment. Also, check your return springs in and underneath the car..

Check all those items Mustangmike mentioned.
What year is your Mach 1 and are there a lot of miles on it? If the items Mustangmike mentioned are okay, sometimes the front bearing retainer on the trans, which also supports the throwout bearing, may be worn. The throwout bearing can get hung up on grooves, steps, etc. worn into the front bearing retainer as it moves to actuate the clutch. ***Again, make certain everything else is okay first as this repair would involve removing the transmission.
Best Regards,
Mike

This clutch pedal issue is common if the adjustment is not correct, especially if there is too much play!
Take some play out of the pedal

Great to hear! That didn't even cross my mind. Usually the play reduces as the clutch wears with the stock type linkage. Make certain it has all the return springs like Mustangmike mentioned.
