Were should I connect the wire to the choke ?

I have nothing that s says ACC or what edelbrock recomendes. I Power comes from that solo clip in the middle when ignition is on could I use that ?

ACC is an abbreviation for accessory.

Basically you need to connect to a positive source that turns on and off with the key. (Not a constant on/hot.)

Thanks Steven

Is there a special clip for connecting directly at the fuse ?

I vaguely recall seeing clips like you are asking for back when this type of fuse was standard. Today, you'll might have to remove the fuse box and tap into the wire you want to use. Do a search for "fuse taps". Also, this place can probably help you, http://midlife66.com/harnesses/welcome.html

Hi Rob, On her Mach1 we used the coil + as a power source.
We fitted a 'Lucar' terminal on the threaded post and that was the whole job. Took 5mins and has not caused any problems.

If you use the coil for power, make certain it has battery voltage with the engine running. On most of these old Fords the power to the coil is through a resistor wire wrapped inside the factory wire loom. Ford did not use ballast resistors, instead they used a resistor wire. Plus, in my opinion, its not good to tap into the coil power wire. The coil needs as much as it can get.

Checked the coil voltage and coil type - 12v no resistor or resistor wire on her car. The feed wire seemed well thick enough to carry any extra current. I have not noticed any problems with the setup so far.
Must admit I would like to remake all the factory connections using contact cleaner and dielectric grease.

Mach1fatherfigure, a previous owner may have bypassed the resistor wire, it should be there. It's not easy to find, the majority of it is in the under dash wire harness. You did check the voltage with the motor running and not just key-on engine-off? The stock points distributors and coil won't last long running on 12V.

Best Regards,
Mike

You need +12V when motor is ON, check fuses, Are you using A/C or Heather?, On picture there are fuses and may be not in use.
