So I have found that somebody has "redneck" rigged my clutch for and welded a piece of steel square tubing between the two ends where it must of broke. Does anybody have one or know the best place to get one

1971 mustang mach 1 351c with a RUG AV1 4 SPEED TOPLOADER
Part number c8aa-7515-b
Here is my clutch for someone cut it and lengthened it why? It measures 16" long

Ok don't shoot the messenger but although not pretty or show car quality the work looks pretty good and the weld looks like it's not going anywhere. I know there are different lengths clutch forks for different applications so, if the parts are impossible to find and the cost is $350 for a replacement clutch fork, I probably would have done the same thing. However, maybe for suitable for a gasser!

That I can't tell you....the only person who can honestly answer the question is the engineer who modified it. Possibly the person had the wrong fork to begin with and this was a backyard modification to make it work (or not work).
Out of curiosity was the fork and linkage installed on the car?
It was installed but nothing was working the flange on the throwout bearing that holds the clutch fork was broke and you can see the shinny tips on the fork where it gouged the throwout breaking. There are a lot of things messed with pertaining to the transmission. There isn't a clutch fork that measures 16 inched like this one measure like they were trying to match something or trying to rig something I have no idea
