I like the color, is it a tangerine or?? In some of the pics it looks like a color from the sixty's called Indian Fire Red. What ever color it is it's beautiful. Nice job all the way around. JTS 71 Mach1

The color is from the 1973 Mach 1 code 5M Medium Metallic Cooper. Or is call "Bright Amber" I love this color, you have so many different colors depending on the weather, day, night, etc.

I always thought '73's had the wide stripe on the side. I had a blue '73 and that's what was on it when I bought it. I thought the Hockey stripes only went (originalyl) on a '71-'72. That's why I asked. Also - I thought the "Mach 1" trunk lettering was centered on a '71-'72 but on the right side of a '73.

The Mach 1's should have come with the large lower side body stripe in 73. The body stripe up in the middle of the side (some folks call them a hockey stripe) was an option for the coupes and convertibles (not sure about the sportroofs). Here is a link to the 73 Sales Brochure that shows both:
