Hey guys. My name is Austin and I'm the proud owner of two 1971 Mustang convertibles. Obviously neither are Mach 1s but I figured this website would be useful in my restoration. I plan on giving my car some of the Mach 1 upgrades as well. Looking forward to getting to know some people and absorbing some knowledge

Not registered as of yet. Here are some quick pictures of the cars. My goal is to have one running, driving, fully restored car between these two. They each have their own strong and weak points but will come together perfectly.
Here is my first. This one I purchased from West Palm Beach, FL through an insurance auction. It was a super clean car that had an engine fire. Now it is 90% stripped and in storage for the winter.
This car I just purchased a few weeks ago. Rusty but 60k original miles. Running 302 that will be the basis of my final engine, possibly a 347 stroker. I am not joking when I say every thing on this car works. Every light on the car, the top, the radio, the heat and vent controls, the horn. It is actually a pretty neat time capsule. It even has a brand new, never driven on 1971 spare tire. I will be keeping it for the cool factor and after restoring the wheel it will probably make it into the finished car.
And while I was on PhotoBucket I grabbed one of my 05 F150, just to prove I'm a Ford guy.
Thanks for looking!

That gold car is a fabulous starting point! The red one a bit of a chalenge! Still, you have two Mustangs and I have to borrow one..

Just bring it back better than you took it and we have a deal! You'd be surprised about the red car, the pictures don't do it much justice. It's 95% rust free. And the 5% is the typical cowl rust. It has a 8/10 deluxe white interior as well. Anyway, I'll make it nice since this body style doesn't get much love. I think the lines are flat out gorgeous myself. At least as good looking as the overrated 69 Camaro or 70 Challenger. Both of which I love, no hate on them.

The one I borrow is the Ever Luvin Daughter's. Yes, it always goes back better than it came out.
Mind you, Austin, if I'm ever in your neck of the woods......
