Hello. I am in Denver Colorado and have a 1971 Mach 1 and look forward to using the site! My Mach has not been driven since 1986 and I have started restoring it.

So no 308 Holden Sandman next to it then. Welcome!
How bad is/much work does your Mach 1 need?

Its in pretty good shape. It has a small hole in the lower cowl that i can close up through the glove box other then that rust free. I put in a new windshield, new wheel cylinders and calipers etc, new oil pump and timing chain, waterpump, new bumpers, fuel tank and pump. I am getting ready to change the head gasket and refresh the head and install an air gap intake and a 650 carb. I also have a set of headers and need to buy a dual exhaust system for it. I am considering pulling the engine and giving it a hotter cam but am undecided. If i pull the engine i am going to really spend a ton on the engine and do it right. So far i have not spent too much on the engine because i bought everything on craigslist, headers and intake. The interior is in great shape and i need to install the new dash pad. The body is pretty good but needs some metal work and paint i am hoping to get it done for summer next year.

That lot should keep you amused for the long winter nights.
In am toying with pulling the heads on the '70 to have them freshened up. I expect I would end up pulling the motor for a clean and repaint though, in the end. Also a chance to tidy the engine bay.

Welcome to the site Sandman...sounds like the car is in pretty decent shape for the most part. What is your plan for fixing the hole in the cowl?

Welcome.

Glad to have you join the site.

Way to go - keeping your Mach 1.

Here's hoping the restoration goes well and you are soon back in the saddle again.
