Hello everyone!
I bought my dream car last night, a yellow 1973 Mach 1! I've been in love with this car since I watched the original Gone In 60 Seconds movie from 1974. Former owners to my car have replaced the engine with a 460 and C6 automatic. Unfortunately the Ram Air have been removed. I am completely new to Mustangs but what I understand I will not be able to mount a Ram Air on a 460?

The car is in pretty good condition, nothing compared to my old Celica Supra Mk2 that's a rust bucket! The only thing I have to sort out right now is that no electric features inside the car works. Instrument lights, courtesy lights, power windows etc. are not working. Maybe a shortie or blown fuses, I will have to take a look at that asap. I also have to do something with the exhaust as it's hanging very low. I am almost unable to go over speed bumps and almost got stuck last night trying to park it in the garage. Therefore I must park it outside until I get access to a new garage 1st of December. Winter is coming...

Sorry for the bad attached picture, I can post better pictures at a later time if anyone is interested. Also, sorry for any misspelled english.

Best regards
Thomas

SSig_welcome4 Nice looking Mach1. Oh, by the way don't worry about the misspelled English, as there are a lot of people here in America! that can't spell either. Jump in anytime and enjoy. JTS 71 Mach1

Welcome to the site. I am sure you will be much happier with the Mach 1 over the Supra. The car looks great!! Let us know if you if you are unable to sort through your electrical problem.

Welcome.

Yes, a nice looking Mach 1.

All the problems that you mentioned are simple details that can be fixed.

You should be able to have Ram Air and a 460 as the Ram Air was a factory option for the 429. It will depend on the rise of the intake manifold that you have and whether the Ram Air of a certain intake manifold is more important.

Add as many pictures from as many angles as you would like. We enjoy pictures. Kind of like showing off the grandkids.

Thank you for the warm welcome! I will add more pictures soon, I had my girlfriend take som pictures of it during daytime yesterday. Wink

Apparently some former owner was not good at car electronics. I am a total newbie myself but I have some work to do. There have been buttons and switches mounted under the dash for features such as horn signal and windshield washer. The wiring to the turn signals looks like it's band aided. It's stupid and I will remove the extra buttons and switches and correct the wiring with the help of my dad who used to be a mechaninc a long time ago.

We will look forward to the added daytime pictures!

Yes, it sounds as though the wiring mess needs cleaned up and your wiring problems will be solved.

Hi, welcome and enjoy you new ride. Previous owners (PO's) are a real pain when they are self trained 'experts'. Hope you/we sort your problems soon.

I know some people don't like classics taken out of America because then they don't get to see them driving around as much, but I am on the other side of it. I love to see American muscle over seas. It shows off some of the history and pride of our countries muscle cars for those that may never get to see them if not for people like you that have spent (usually) great sums of money for them. You have a great car and I hope you show it off as much as you can.

WELCOME! Thmbsup Nice Mach 1.
I have a friend that I sell classic cars to in Essex England, so I have no issue with them going over seas. So far I've sent about 10 cars to England. I make money he makes money so it works great.
