The paint (& color), the stripe, the valance and the hood will transform the "lowly" little Mustang into quite the car. It will be something to see the transformation.
The two cars are worlds apart and I imagine can be enjoyed each in it's own right. I would be tempted (if I had the finances) if I found a Corvette with a stick.
Enjoy.

Excellent color choice and the Shelby stripes will look real sharp on the blue. Quick question, what to you mean by "what the top has done to the roof over time"? By northeast standards, the roof looks brand new (LOL)!
I just picked up the paint for my car this morning. I am looking forward to getting it on the car real soon. Also, are you clear coating over the stripes? I am just curious because I was contemplating whether or not I am going to.

Just my thoughts
Mike, but I would definitely clear over the stripes. It will keep them from peeling or chipping along the sharp edge. If you color sand over the stripes before you spray the clear, you can reduce the sharpness of the edge and you will have a much better looking surface without the harsh edges. I'm not a painter by any means, but I know a few tricks. Hope it helps, maybe someone has an even better idea???

Thanks for the advice JTS...I will adhere your advice and clear the car. What you are saying makes complete and absolute sense.
Thank you!
