Hey Steve O I believe it would be the large hole just below where the throttle linkage hooks up. Holleys have so many holes in there linkage to fit every possible combination, one tends to forget what they are all for. JTS 71 Mach1

With the Holley pictured, your best bet would be to use the largest hole shown. Universal Holleys like the one pictured don't come with a ford kickdown linkage, one must be purchased separately and installed. It should consist of a nylon bushing (that will fit inside of that large hole) possibly some spacers and washers, and a mounting "pin" or "post". The barrel-shaped "pin" (to mount the kick-down rod to) is approx. 1/4" in diameter and should be mounted in the highest location on the OPPOSITE side of the throttle arm. Mounting it on the highest possible location is key to avoiding binding issues with the rest of the throttle linkage and intake manifold. You can purchase a "Ford kick-down kit" from Holley or make it yourself if you're handy with this sort of stuff. The kick-down rod will be retained on the pin or "post" with a C-clip. Hope this helps. GXR

Thanks GXR.
Steve O - not that this is any more help than what I have all ready been but the next time I am in Arizona I can take a picture of my Holley if it has the kick down attachment and post it for you.

That is an excellent video describing exactly what you need. However, I am unable to tell from your pictures if your carb has the kick down lever. Was that carb installed on the car before? Thank you for sharing the video, it was an learning moment for me
