Looks like you have a nice place here so I thought I join in. Hopefully I can pass on some of my learning (of what not to do, 
) to others.
Just a short intro. Bought my Mach 1 (original Black Jade 351W/auto car) back in 1988 as a shell (but with drivetrain) from the 2nd owner, and pieced most of it together with a friends Mach he was parting at the time. Drove it and won a lot of trophies at the local 1/8th mile drags. Fast forward to 4 years ago, we stripped the car bare and did the full on rotisserie resto-mod, and still have some things to do (Mach stripe and window trim and some insignificant wiring...power antenna, AFR gauge).
To whet your whistle, a couple of the "mods" to the car: Unisteer power rack, Street or Track front coilover setup, 08' GT front discs, rear discs, TKO600, and a soon to be done 408.
The picture is of the car right before we rolled it into the trailer to take it to Vegas for the 50th, and yes, we had a blast.
