Hey everyone, I am new here and want to introduce myself. I am Brian from Michigan. I don't have a Mach 1, yet. I am in the process of finding the right 1970 for me. Right now, I own a 2001 GT that will be sold or traded in when the right one comes along.

Hi Brian...welcome to the site. I always see some nice Mustangs on e-Bay out there in Michigan and probably for obvious reasons.

Out of curiosity, when you say "the right Mustang" is there a special one you are looking for? Please keep us updated on your search.

Thanks guys! I have had my '01 for 2 yrs. I basically bought it because the time was right. I have wanted a '69 or '70 Mach, since I was a kid, I have settled on the '70 because I like the front end more than the '69 and I can do without the side scoops. The '01 is a nice car and I enjoy driving it, it's just not "the one"
I will know when I see the "right one" when I see it. I want one in Calypso Coral or Yellow, with black interior. One that can be shown at local shows, but isn't so nice, that I don't want to drive it. My youngest child just turned 16, so the wife and I will have an empty house soon. I think it would be fun to cruise around to shows on the weekends.
The engine size isn't too important and it doesn't have to be original, or even period correct. I would love to have one with the new 5.0 coyote engine. That would be in the future, of course.
There are things that I want, that I am willing to compromise. I would like a manual, but if everything else was right I wouldn't rule out an auto. The rest is cosmetic stuff that could be added like spoilers, sports slats and magnum 500 wheels.
Steve, I plan to get the best I can for the money, if I don't find the right one for what I can pay, I will just wait. I've waited 30yrs, what's a few more, right.
You can count on me keeping you updated, when I finally do have one I will have photos of it all over the web. My '01 is now.

I am not aware of any currently available here in the Tucson area and if there was a deal to be had "Mr. Administrator" would be all over it! But, if I can help in my area I am more than willing to lend my hand.

Thanks Ron! I know, all too well, the woes of a restoration project. I have a '78 Bronco, I'm working on. It seems to take forever.
