Hello
#1
Hello from Denver.

I am buying a Mach 1 R code project car. The previous owner has already begun the restoration, but the car needs final assembly. I just finished and sold a 1969 Charger that was in the same condition when I bought it. I seem to be drawn to finish projects that have already begun.

Ugly is what my wife called my 1972 Blazer project. I kept my user name ugly2u...

Well as "they" say, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

Great to have you here with us.

Looking forward to the beauty of this R code resurrection.

Welcome aboard and glad you signed up for the ride. I am also drawn to uncompleted project cars, most likely more for the affordability aspect of it. However, it seems even the not so pretty ones are getting expensive these days. Right now I have one ugly project car. Please post some pictures of your R-code project. All of us here enjoy pictures, good, bad, ugly!

The charger was taken apart, everything in boxes when I bought it. It all needed restoration.

The Blazer had many good parts, but needed finishing. I took it apart to fix the rust and paint. It didn't see much use after I bought the charger...

Now onto the next fun project, the Mach 1 will be a nut and bolt restoration, as close to factory as possible.

I am loving the Charger! Definitely looks tough out there on the 1/4 mile launch pad! Please post some pictures of the Mach1.

The mach 1 deal is in progress. This is how it has sat for 5 years or more.

Wow...the car looks great...at least from that angle. This wasn't what I expected to see when you mentioned "unfinished project cars". I thought it was going to be much worse. That's why we like pictures! Nice find.

He made great progress, but lacks time and motivation to finish.

One owner, sat in a barn since 1978 under a cover. 98% original metal. No rust. Missing a few key parts like the shaker base.
