Hello from NZ
#1
I've been a regular reader of this forum for several months now and have learn't so much about my car from so many of you.

So, I though it was about time that I introduced myself.

My name is Ashley and I live in Auckland, New Zealand.
I purchased this 1970 Mach 1 351W 2V, FMX about a year ago- I know, nothing startling, but I absolutely love it. The color is Medium Gold Metallic with Medium Ginger interior. I wasn't terribly convinced of the interior color to begin with, but it has since grown on me and now I can't imagine the car with any other color interior.
The car was sold new in Pasadena, California and brought to New Zealand over twenty years ago and is still in completely original condition. It has never been re-painted and has absolutely zero rust. The wheels are currently Magnum 500's and I still have the original 14" wheels and sports wheel trims, which I really like and tempted to put on the car for a while.
Almost forgot - the car has only 24,000 miles on the clock.

Thank you for looking.

Hi Ashley...welcome to the site. As they often say on the radio "long time listener first time caller". Your car looks brand new and I like really like the color schemes. Thanks for sharing the history of the car. I also see a 67/68 fastback in the background...is that car in your family too?

Welcome Ashley,

Lovely car. An amazing find anywhere but especially for New Zealand.

I lived in Silverdale for six months and in New Zealand for a total of two years. I would have stayed for life ...

It looks like the Mach 1 is in good company.

Jump on in and enjoy the site.
