Glad to hear you are still with us JRPAV...Appreciate the update on your car and your garage. Spinning nuts are always frustrating but not as bad as broken taps.

Wow that's a lot of rust. Thank God all of those panels are reproduced. JTS 71 Mach1

Actually not ALL of the parts that my car needs are made (yet). I have to fabricate some pieces that go in the rear corners of the trunk area on top between the 1/4-panel and the tail-light panel. Looks like a fairly easy piece to make if I can get the metal to stretch properly.

Thank you for sharing the pictures.
I admire the dedication it takes to start with such a rusted car.
Please keep us posted and updated.

My bad I didn't realize that. Good luck recreating them. JTS 71 Mach1

This is pretty much how every Mustang I've ever had starts out (I've had a few). I'm in Connecticut. This is what we have here. As far as I'm concerned most of the cars that I see from down South have been "refurbished". THIS will be a "restoration".

I'm originally from Chicago. So I know rust as well, But it sure is nice not to have to start out with rust like that.
