Deleted non active accounts

I deleted about 50 accounts today that registered at some point and never made one post. If you don't make a posting within 72 hours of registering your account will be removed. We want everyone here but if you cant at least say hello to everyone with one post then your not going to be much help to anyone here.

I wanted to update since the membership number dropped today. As of today we have 945 members that have made at least one posting here. SSig_goodjob

Hey listen, maintenance is important whether it's a car or website. Good job!

I deleted 36 accounts today for registering and not making one posting. Pretty simple, you want an account here you just have to make one post. Otherwise its why your account doesn't work. Any accouint removed, the information used for registering is still allowed you just need to redo it, and make one posting. Biggrin

I deleted about 100 accounts this morning that either didn't verify there email address during registration and people that have been here more than 72 hours and not made a posting. We want people here that want to be here, the others can kick rocks and will be removed. Sorry to be so hard line on this but you have no idea how much crap goes on in the background of my server with freaking lames trying to hack into our mail server or just trying to hack the forums. Thanks for the work done behind the scenes Joe, keeping the site free from garbage.

I appreciate your work and the site.

Well I'm not here a lot these days, but I'm always doing things behind the scenes. These sites are tough now days people prefer Facebook over normal websites. I consider Mach 1 Club like a museum and information source for people who love the car going forward, unless Im dead, this site will always be online. Frankly this site is my best one. AzPonys didnt make it because everyone on that site prefers facebook.

Glad to have you around Steven!

Hi Joe
As you will be aware I'm new but I enjoy the overall balance of this site and members who seem switched on.
I have no illusions about the work you must do, having worked at a large mainframe style site.
I hope to be around this site for many years to come.
Thanks again for your efforts. SSig_goodjob

Thxs M1FF! Yes its a pain sometimes, but overall this place runs pretty good on its own now, it amazes me still that something I started has others that like it. This site is great, but its only because of the people here that are dedicated to the love of the Mach 1.

Thank you Joe Clap_ This site is my facebook. I'm not that interesting of a person so that site is not for me. I like to come here where I know we all have the same interests. Once again thank you for all the behind the scenes work you do to keep the "garbage" out.
