Nice find and Welcome to the site. The one thing to remember is to take lots of photo's and bag and label the parts that you remove. We are working on a basket case and it helps when your reassembling the car. You've got a good start congrats.

Yes on the bagging of parts, I used to never bag parts and lost everything, now I bag everything! Another thing I do sometimes is just put bolts and screws back in the holes they came out of whenever possible.

When I was disassembling my 73 my teenage daughter would help me by putting the parts and screws into baggies and labeling them with a Sharpie!

Hey everyone, thanks for the response! Sorry, I have been in the middle of moving and have not had easy computer access.
Melkeps- i think I have a 460 instead of a 429, which is fine by me. I think I'm going to start by tearing this engine apart to see what kind of shape it is in. I have been doing a little bit of research trying to figure out what I should rebuild it with. I have c8ve heads and d3ve heads, dunno if it would be better to go with the older higher compression heads and modify the pistons to lower compression back down so I can use pump gas, or the newer heads and not worry about it. Anyway, engine is first. I'll start another thread in the build section to get everyones opinions on what I should do with this! Can't really start on thecar itself yet because I need to clean up the new garage and get it over here.

Vamach1- where are you? I think that the guy said that it was near sacramento for most of it's life, since then it has been in southern Oregon. I guess either way, he could have been all over the place with it! It had a built 351c in it before I bought it.

Thanks for the tips on bagging, I will definitely set up a system before starting in on anything!

My friend steve that helped me grab the car was telling me about the swap meet, it sounds amazing! Can't wait to see all of the stuff there- I'll definitely be there this year. Are you in Portland too?

Yes I am in Portland and plan to attend that meet this year in hopes to find some great stuff to use on a newer pony. I hope that we can meet up for some good chat too. I am just now getting back into this stuff after a 10 year hiatus. Also there is a gas station by my house on Foster that sales racing gass with hi octane.
