OK,,,Here is the official information for properly identifying a Mach 1 from 1969-1973. Information by Kevin Marti's book" By the Numbers' and also Mustang data plate decoder Book....Very simple and short:
1969 Mach 1: Body style code=63C, Body serial code=02
1970 Mach 1: Body style code=63C, Body serial code=05
1971 Mach 1: Body style code=63R, Body serial code=05
1972 Mach 1: Body style code=63R, Body serial code=05
1973 Mach 1: Body style code=63R, Body serial code=05
Note: That 1969 was the only year FORD used 02 for Body serial code. And 1971-73 body style code is 63R, changed from 63C in 1969-70.

I figured this could be useful since people rarely remove there fenders unless an accident or restoration.
Here's the vin number on the Passenger Side under the front fender. I removed the last 2 digits for my own security, but there are six digits after the 2Fxxxxxx
