Wow...that's a pretty sick looking car!! I always liked the hot-rodded Vega's. Don't lose sight of that Mach 1.

Yeah it's cool and all Buttttt!!!! IT'S A Chivy??????? YUCK NASTY POO!POO! I really shouldn't feel that way since I owned 9 different Vegas during my early years. They were considered a throw away car and I bought several for 50, and 100, dollars I even had one given to me. What can I say they were cheap. I had a lot of fun in my Vegas. That all happened just before I got my Mach1!!! The rest as they say is history, as I never looked back. Fords forever! JTS71 Mach1

Admittedly a clean build.... looks like they painted it with leftover paint from the building it's parked next to....

Did I mention it came with wheelie bars!!! The colour is a bit obnoxious but then, I sit in the driver's seat--all I see is Big Shiny Blower

Yeah wheelie bars make it a little cooler. Have you driven it much, I'll bet it's a hand full. Have fun JTS 71 Mach1

Working on getting it certified first-- brought it up from L.A. so it didn't have a heater/defroster, windshield wipers for those harsh Vancouver winters. Driving is going to be a bit scary-- 383 stroker with 671 BDS blower and for those days when traffic is getting to you, a 200 hp shot of the good stuff (NOS

Bigger dilemma I'm having now is that besides wanting that 71 Mach 1, now I've found a 65 Fastback going for a somewhat affordable price ($16K), it's in daily driving condition with a new interior, but will need the usual reconstructive surgery to bring it back to full glory. What do you guys think?

Ask Mustang Mike about that reconstructive surgery and the cost! As he is doing a fastback himself. 16K seems a little stiff, if it needs very much surgery??? Besides that what about the drivetrain etc. I just can't get over what it costs to get into, and restore these cars. It's getting to be ridiculous. But as I was always told, If you want to play you have to Pay! BUT DAMN! Just my thoughts. JTS 71 Mach1
