Trunk problem
#1
Hello,
My trunk can't stay open, however the springs look good. I think something is missing, I found this part : http://www.cjponyparts.com/trunk-lid-pro...0/p/TL5PR/

but i don't know how to install it. Someone has a picture of its trunk with the rod ?

Thanks

Sorry, I do not have a picture and I don't remember seeing the trunk rod installed in person.

I believe I have seen pictures and if memory serves me right the rod is on the right side of the trunk lid.

If someone with a 69/70 doesn't reply we'll try to get you in touch with one of the members who owns one and see if we can get you an answer.

HELLO.....I HAVE READ WHERE THAT PROP ROD IS NEEDED ON CARS WITH REAR SPOILERS DUE TO THE EXTRA WEIGHT. I HAVE BUT NOT ADDED THE REAR SPOILER TO MY CAR YET SO I MY KNOWLEDGE IS LIMITED. IF YOU DO NOT HAVE A SPOILER YOU MIGHT TAKE IT TO A BODY SHOP TO SEE IF THERE IS ANY ADJUSTMENT TO THE SPRINGS.

I have a rear spoiler. The problem is that we do not have a lot of mach 1 here in France. So the local garage can t help me.
That s why a photo will help a lot. Maybe i need more then the rod.

THE ROD WOULD PROBABLY BE A GOOD PLACE TO START. IF IT HOLDS THE LID UP, THEN I WOULD SAY PROBLEM SOLVED Eusa_dance
