Steering wheel keeps locking

Hi, listmates:

The steering wheel on my '75 keeps locking up after I turn the engine off. The interlock system keeps me from turning the ignition when the wheel is locked. Is there a way to disable this feature?

I have no personal knowledge for the 75. I imagine though that it would be pretty much the same as previous years.

I am not sure about disabling the system or perhaps looking into why it is malfunctioning. If it is like the earlier systems it is a very basic system and with a thorough cleaning, adjustment and lubrication it should function as designed.

Let's see if someone else has some suggestions for you.
