I recently picked up what appears to be a 1970 survivor that was tagged in early September 1969 out of Dearborn. It's a decently optioned H code per buck tag, but outside of that and the body panels, it was loaded up with a number of 1969 components including a some things specific to Shelby's of the day i.e. speedo/tach, roll bar, 15" GT's (date coded), kick plates, among others. It's an odd combination of items for an H code and its possible they were added on by a previous owner. However, given Ford's propensity to use up inventory and the fact that Shelby's came out of Dearborn in 69, I'm curious if anyone could shed light on whether Ford would have actually installed a mix of components at the factory given the date this car came off the assembly line.
