I believe you are # 8 of New Mach1 owners. and I'll bet 6 out of 8 are Fighter Jet Grey. So far that seems to be the most popular color for the New Mach1's, time will tell. I'm curious as to what they feel like? I mean are they a Super Refined Gt Car, or more of a Bruised knuckle boxer, in a nice suit? Most everyone have said like you, they haven't had much seat time in them. I'm waiting for someone to take one of these out, and drove it like they stole it! Gears Then report on the results, and what it took to wipe the stupid grin off your face afterwards!  Cool

Good luck with it and Welcome to the Club.

PS If somebody needs a Test Pilot I'm Game!!!

I believe it will be a beast…and yet with the driving modes it is tame enough to be a daily.  One advantage of a Coyote based Engine vs. the amazing voodoo.   FJG is the most produced color for the ‘21.  Kind of a cool color on Mustang…it’s actually Fords Cactus Grey on the trucks…Thanks for the warm welcome.

God That's Pretty! Very nicely done. Man that thing looks better then when it was new. I don't believe I ever saw red paint so deep and shiny. Wow.  Cool

Hi everyone, Don here, From Hoodsport WA. On the Olympic Peninsula of WA state.

I just purchased a 1970 “M” code Mach 1 project and will be diving in with gusto.

Long term Ford guy, bleed Ford blue.

This car was in the process of restoration when the body shop owner died. So it’s essentially a basket case.  Previous owner bought tons of new parts but they’re all loose and in totes and boxes.

Is there anyone close to me that has a ‘70? I’d like to be able to see where a lot of the body parts and pieces go. My car is a rolling shell that has had most of the major sheet metal (floor pans, cowl, firewall etc) work done but the trunk area needs reassembled and I’m not sure where all the support brackets and such go.

It’s a giant puzzle as of now! But I love a challenge!

Welcome Snappy Don. Sounds like you got a big Challenge. I'm not sure if there is anyone close to you, or not? Hopefully somebody is, cause it sounds like you need a knowledgeable friend. Good Luck. There is a ton of info on the site, a little searching and you should find a bunch of articles on the 70, as there are a bunch of guys on here that have 70's. Master Blaster is one that comes to mind, find a post with his name and click on it and it will take you to his page, then you can send him a private message. Last I knew he was in Colorado I think. Good Luck, and ask any and all questions cause somebody here knows the answer.  Cool

I was thinking and seem to remember that there is an assembly manual available for the body structure, of the Mustangs It was published by Ford, and I think I've seen them on Ebay and Amazon.

Thanks!  I did find a body and interior assembly manual and a weld and sealant manual online. They are on their way.
