Im a proud owner of a 1970 Mach 1. The body and interior is in great shape but the engine does not run very well at all. Going to try and overhaul the carb and hope that helps. If not Ill be back here asking for suggestions, Thanks in advance

Hello and welcome...You have every right to be proud, the 70 Mach is a real nice car and sounds like she is almost ready go! Please let us know if we can be of assistance.

WELCOME!!! DID YOU HAPPEN TO TAKE A WHIFF OF THE GAS? IF IT HAS BEEN SITTING A WHILE YOU SHOULD TAKE A LOOK AT THE POST FROM 62FALCONWAGON ON THE 69 HE BOUGHT. Biggrin

Welcome to the site from Virginia. As suggested above stale fuel and/or rust in the fuel tank will make for a rough running engine. You might try installing a glass fuel filter temporally to see what is flowing to the carb.

Post us some pics and keep us posted on your progress.
