Hello-72 Mach I

Hello All,

Just signed up after finding this site. My car is a 72 Mach with a bunch of work done to it and the paint/body work is the last bit that needs to be done. The car was bought from a guy out in Minnesota and shipped to Las Vegas. I did a ton of work on the car and now currently its in Little Rock. It has the 351C with a bunch of aftermarket stuff, the AOD transmission with the Ford locking rear end (4.11) and TCI valve body and 2500 stall. The interior is new (was ginger, now black) as is the weather stripping, the interior quarter panels need replacing as they are pretty fragile and have wear holes. It came with 4 drum brakes and I swapped out the fronts with factory power and added rear disks to it. Hopefully I can finish it up this year and have it ready for the 50th anniversary run either in Charlotte or get the car back to NV where I am at for the Las Vegas event. As for paint, I would like to go with a metalic silver so thats why the engine bay has all the red.

Your 72 looks like a nice ride and it looks as though you have jumped right in to make it what you want it to be! Good on ya. It also sounds like it is getting quite the journey.

Have you had a history with Mach 1's previously or is this your first Mach 1?

I've always like the Mach I, specifically the 69 and 70 but finding one in good condition with a decent price is hard. The 71-73 cars are cool and the Cleveland is an awesome engine to have. The car is in storage now and has been for the last year except for one weekend while I was back there for a visit.

Nice ride my friend,
I too have a 72 Mach1 .I found the car in rouph shape no rust(Arizona car) but everything else had to be done LOL! Enjoy your car my friend!!
