72 Mach 1 brakes...

Today I got my 1972 Mach1 back from the shop. They re-did the rear brakes and all emergency brake cables. As some of you may know, I am unable to do heavy work on my car, due to chronic low back pain. I take alot of meds. but they don't help like they should. My Doctor wanted to install an internal pain pump, but my insurance declined paying for it. I collected documents to support my case and appealled the Ins. denial. Today I found out that the appeal was up-held and my pump is approved. I am looking forward to a better quality of life. Sorry, I know this forum is about Mach 1s, but you all have been so kind, I wanted to post my health issues.
Thanks to all,
Keith

Hey Keith, Man don't worry about it, we all have our various ailments and likewise suffer. If it helps you to be able to work on your Mach1, more power to you. I know a couple people who have one of these pumps and while its not a cure all it definetly helps. I bowl on a league with a lady that has one and I can't believe what she's able to do. This forum is as much about it's people as it is about our beloved Mach1's. Good Luck I'll say a prayer or two for you. Thanks God. JTS 71 Mach1

Sorry to hear about your issues. As JTS 71 Mach1 said this site is about Mach 1's and the people who drive them, so we care about the people that frequent this site. This ste is about quality of the members not quantity.
If your interested I also suffer lower back pain, not as extreme as it seems you do, but I have found a major help in Dr. Wallach and Youngevity products.
Check out this post (another one of my websites just underway )

Hey Keith - glad to hear that help is on the way.
I have no idea of what you are dealing with but be careful. If you can't feel pain then it would be too easy to overdue something and have serious consequences. Be careful.
Hopefully your quality of life will improve and that would include the small tasks of Mach 1 ownership!

Glad to hear your appeal worked out. As the others have said this site is about our members and our Mach 1's. There is plenty of support here to go around. Hope the pump works for you and improves your quality of life.

I've now had my pump for close to a month, the difference is night & day. My pain is half what it was, sometimes even better. The extra benefit is that the morphine is injected directly into the spinal canal. This means you only need about 1/200th of the oral dose. So no more brain fog, fatigue, etc. Right now my total daily dose is 0.98mg. What a quality of life improvement, after 16 of severe pain, WOW!!
Thanks to all who have wished me well and an extra thanks for the prayers.
Feelin' good,
Keith

Amen, glad to hear it's helping. Take it easy as Rare Pony said until you figure out your limitations. Hopefully there won't be many. Good Luck! JTS 71 Mach1
