Welcome Brandon,

Glad to have you here with us. Please share some pictures of your new purchase when you can.

Yes, there are several books available. Type in a search for just exactly that and you'll come up with several. There are other sources available as well such as belonging to a site like this to ask others for opinions and help.

Owner's who do their own work will a lot of times give better advice than an author who watches someone else complete the task.

You also want a good source for parts. The Mustang after market is loaded with tons of supplies - some good some awful. We have one of the best on site with us in Don Whit at Ohio Mustang Supply. Don is knowledgeable and honest with his opinion of after market suppliers and parts.

Enjoy the site and jump on in with questions and advice as you begin to tackle your Mach 1 rebuild.

Welcome Brandon sounds like a good score on the 69 Mach1. 58,000 miles if original is all but unheard of. Should be a great car to restore. Ask any and all questions we'll be glad to help. JTS 71 Mach1

I bought it about three weeks ago and havent even seen it yet. I work out of town and i transfered the money to my brothers checking account and gave him power of attorney to sign paper work and title transfer, so i cant wait to get home to work on it. I dont know how to post pictures with my cell phone. I will figure it out soon enough, its just i work a lot of hours and havent had the time to yet. My brother is busy with finding someone to paint it and he already found a good guy for parts.

Thanks for the welcome.

Id recommend getting ALL mechanical in line before painting providing the car is already structurally sound.
Id do mechanical then paint and body and then interior. In that order.
You don't want a mechanic scratching the new paint first, and you don't want a dirty painter sitting in new interior. Smile
