Hello folks.....I'm proud to be a new member and I hope to gain knowledge here on restoring my '69 Mach1...It's meadowlark yellow and primer! .... it has the shaker option, someone installed a 351C in the past but it originally came with a 351W. I bought the car about 2 years ago. When I got it home I ordered new door panels, new dash, new upholstery and new full length floor plans but I haven't installed any of it yet. The car has a toploader 4 speed but it pops out of second gear. I got discouraged with it after that and started working on my 63.5 fastback galaxie again. I think I have the patience to finish my Galaxie but I may have bitten off more than I can chew with the Mach1....Hopefully this site will get me motivated to restore it or if not find a buyer for it. I love 1967 thru 1970 fastback mustangs and if I sell mine I may just buy one already restored.
I'm glad this site is available...it was much needed.
Yall take care,
Billy

Welcome from TN/KY! Put some pics up of the mach and galaxie when you can! Hopefully you stick with the car unless you favor the earlier fastbacks more so. I will have plenty of motivation being handed out when I get home in may/june time frame and start on my running project. Ask any questions you want :)

Welcome to the site from Virginia. I think you will provide plenty of motivation here so you can finish up your 69. Post up some pics of both cars when you get a chance.

From Arkansas, You shouldn't have any trouble finding motivation here. We have an awful lot of helpful people, and there are several looking for a 69 Mach 1. So if you decide to concentrate on the Galaxie, you shouldn't have much trouble handing the Mach1 off to a new owner. Good Luck with it either way. JTS 71 Mach1

Welcome.
Look around the site and you'll find tons of motivation. Your 69 doesn't sound all that bad off compared to some that you'll find. Follow the build and see the results and you will be MOTIVATED!
I love the 69 style. I also love the 351C and can understand that swap. I also love the stick shift (top loader). What you have is close to an ultimate build from my perspective.
But everyone has their limit at a given time in life - understood. Should you not be able to continue as was previously mentioned someone is always looking for the 69/70 Mach 1's. You should be easily able to move it and put the funds into an earlier fastback (nothing wrong with those either!).
Please do post some pictures of both the cars mentioned. Regardless of how it all goes please jump on in and enjoy the site.
