Okay, I'm totally confused. We all know the 351c have 2v heads and 4v heads. We also know that the 4v heads use HUGE valves & HUGE ports. The 2v has large valves & ports but smaller than the 4v heads. I keep running into conflicting info. I thought that the 2v exhaust ports were 1.71" and the 4v heads 1.84". I do know for a fact that my 72 351cj has 1.84" exhaust ports. So what is the exhaust port size of 2v vs 4v heads? According to the tech rep. at Jegs the 1.75" headers will fit a 4v 351c. I ordered a set (jegs# 520-6915) of Hooker Competition headers, based on the info. from Jegs. They were 1.75" and the ports on my 351c are 1.84" so they didn't fit. The Jegs catalog lists the 1.75" size for both 2v & 4v ports. I realize I shouldn't put so much weight on info. from Jegs. What, exactly are the port spec.s for the various cleveland heads?
Thanks,
Keith

I came up with this site for some more information:

This is also a very good site for information on the 351C:

Very good info Steven. Its simple to see why the Cleveland's ran so hard. Hell the lowly 2v heads, were bigger then Chevy's "worshipped" 2.02 heads. and the ports were shaped to flow air, not cause a bottle neck. The more in the more out the harder it's gonna run! JTS 71 Mach1

Thanks Steven that pretty much spells it out. I think I was getting confused by looking at (and measuring) the short sides of rectangular ports. The ports are not square & I was looking at them as though they were.
Thanks again you're always a good source of info.
