I just dropped Joe (Mach1Club, and also the site owner) a note telling him what I found out about the wiring harness I bought from him in Jan 2011 (that it's a '73, not a '71-'72 as he originally thought). And you know what he came back with? He offered to refund my money (even after I told him not to worry about it that I was just letting him know what I found out). I mean, the guy sells me a tach cluster and wiring harness at a smokin' deal (I'm sure he took a loss when he had to sell his awesome '72 Mach 1), and actually offers to refund my money almost 2 years later because he wasn't aware that it was the wrong harness either.

How awesome is that guy, anyway? I'm just sad he no longer has his awesome Gold Glow '72 anymore.

Thank you, Joe - you da man! And thanks for keeping this site alive, even though you no longer actually have a Mach 1. That's dedication and integrity at it's finest.

Mach 1 Club will never go anywhere as long as I'm breathing.
I'm still looking for a Mach 1 just haven't found one I can swing. I almost bought a 2004 Mach 1 Saturday but when push came to shove the guy really didn't want to sell it. I offered him 9500, he agreed then backed out.

Theres also one for sale at a dealership here locally I was interested in until they told me they wanted 17900. Way to steep for my blood.

When traveling I tell the hotel folks when they ask if I have any discounts that I'll take the Golden Rule Discount. When they tell me they have never heard of that one I tell them, "Give me the discount you would want if I was in your shoes and you were in mine".

I keep seeing those machs run about 11-13k on craigslist in missouri and kentucky. I am trying to get the wife to agree to allow me to buy a 70 mach 1 for 4500$ as a project car...I am sadly not getting anywhere with that lol

Thanks everyone for the kind words. Part of being able to be who I am is having guys like you around that make this enjoyable and easy.

I've been on message boards where people are rude and disrespectful towards each other. Its a blessing to have everyone here be class acts!

So for all the kudos you guys give me, its all of you who really make this site worth while and enjoyable. I can build a great website but without awesome members like all of you, sites disappear.

Regarding the 04 Mach 1 I offered the guy 10500 and he said

"you know man I'm sorry I got this started I really don't want to sell it. Even if you offered me 20k I'm just not going to sell it."

Hes the original owner with 51000 miles on it. Theres not a ding or nick anywhere on the car. The interior even smells new. I don't blame him for not wanting to sell it, at 9500 Id have stole it, even at 10500 it would have been a bargain. I keep telling him about this site, hes just not a computer guy at all, he doesn't even own a computer. I didn't even know there were people still that didn't have some kind of computer.
