Hey guys,
I was just looking through the hole in the transmission hump at the top of the shifter (4 speed manual) and I saw a gizmo with two spade connectors sticking out the top of it with nothing attached to it. I suspect this is the back up light switch. I've also got a pair of wires that are about the right length to reach. Both these wires are black and are inside a hard plastic shell rather than the usual electrical tape.
These wires go to a 2x2 connector located at the center of the firewall. These wires attach to 2 of these connections while the other two have a red jumper wire connecting them together.
Does this sound like the correct wires for the trans switch? My chilton manual doesn't have anything on this bit of wiring at all.
Thanks!
William
