Howdy from Texas

Just saying hello. Look forward to the discussions on this forum.

I have had Mustangs since high school. High school mascot was the Mustangs, so guess what we all drove. I currently have a 69 Mach I, M-code, FMX, Wimbledon White on Dark Red (Marti report says 1 of 2 ordered exactly this way). This is my dream car and I finally found it about four years ago. I have owned six Mustangs and various other classic Fords over the years, but I think I am done trading. The attached photo is how it looked when I got it and I am in the process of taking it back to a more original look while still enjoying the ride.

Glad you found a keeper. Looks like a good solid car. Havring fun with it is what it's all about.

I love the car but not wild about the stripes? Still very nice. Jump in anytime. JTS 71 Mach1

Thanks. I don't like the stripe either and I have a red/gold Mach 1 stripe waiting to be put on. I just found a set of driver condition styled steel wheels to go on it as well, but I do like the Magnum 500s too so I am in a quandry. By the way, my baby only has a little over 71,000 documented original miles on it (it was Arizona-titled when I bought it and they allow the mileage to be on the title for older cars, unlike Texas).

Looks great in the Wimbledon White. Post up some more pics when you get the original stripes on it.

Welcome to the site. Glad you found the sport wheel covers. I have been collecting those for about two years now to finally get a show quality set. Hang around on the site it is a great place to share and learn with others. Looks like a great/solid car to restore.
