My fifth child is getting ready to leave home and go away to college to North Dakota this fall. As parents we decided that the 67 Ranchero was probably not the choice of vehicle for her in that it gets COLD up there and they get a lot of that white stuff.
So we went shopping a couple of months ago. It started with looking at some SUV's but my daughter saw this 88 Ford Ranger and chose it. Cosmetics will follow but the first attack was to reseal the complete motor replacing things like the timing chain, etc. along the way.
I don't think I have ever worked on a more oily/dirty motor! (And I have seen my share). Anyway today my daughter and I were able to get the motor out so we can start to clean the truck up, reseal the motor and put it all back together.
What a task.
